Carrigan

Erma Irene Carrigan, 98, of Chesterfield, Mo., died at Garden View Care Center in Chesterfield, Mo., on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024.

She was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Carlinville, Ill., to Benjamin Franklin Graham and Nola (Davidson) Graham and both preceded her in death. She married Vince Carrigan in Carlinville and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 2003. She was a homemaker. Erma was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Bunco Group.

She is survived by her two children, Daniel (Amye) Carrigan and David (Renée) Carrigan; five grandchildren, Jason Carrigan, Crystal Carrigan, Mathew (Lindsay) Carrigan, Stephen Carrigan, and Kristina (Paul) Balding; eight great-grandchildren, Jenna Carrigan, Jayden Carrigan, Garrett Carrigan, Donovan Carrigan, Declan Carrigan, Johanna Balding, Aspen Balding, and Delaney Balding.

Erma was preceded in death by her son, Donald Lloyd Carrigan; daughter, Linda Carrigan; two grandchildren, Joshua and Zachary Carrigan.

Graveside rites were accorded and held on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024 at the Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery located in Carlinville. Kravanya Funeral Home of Gillespie was in charge of the arrangements.
