Dalton R. Westerhold, (26), of East St. Louis, Ill., committed a Class four felony of criminal damage to property having damage being in excess of $500 but less than $10,000 on July 19, 2024. Said defendant knowingly damaged a home located in Bunker Hill in that said defendant drove a car into their house.

Donna L. Carrigan, (58), of Brighton, committed a Class two felony of aggravated battery to a peace officer, in that on July 27, 2024, the defendant knowingly tackled a peace officer for the Brighton Police Department engaged in the execution of the officer’s official duties.

Jasen R. Ferratto, (34), of Gillespie, committed the Class three felony offense of theft with the intent to control property having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000 on July 28, 2024. Said defendant knowingly exerted unauthorized control over copper grounding rods and saws that belonged to another.

Cody L. Rogers, (35), of Staunton, committed two felonies on July 28, 2024: count one is a Class two felony for burglary, in that said defendant knowingly and without authority, entered a building located in Staunton with the intent to commit theft; count two is a Class three felony for theft with the intent to control copper grounding rods and saws having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000.

Branden D. Kizziah-Scholl, (30), of Washington, Ill., committed three felonies on July 30, 2024: count one is a Class two felony for aiding, abetting, possessing, and/or selling a stolen vehicle, in that said defendant, knowing it to have been stolen, possessed a black, 2001 Toyota Highlander; count two is a Class two felony for aggravated battery to a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that said defendant knowingly caused bodily harm by biting an officer for the Virden Police Department on the hand; and count three is a Class three felony for aggravated fleeing, in that said defendant, after having been given visual or audible signal by a peace officer directing the defendant to stop said vehicle, the defendant wilfully failed or refused to obey. The defendant disobeyed a stop sign and was previously convicted of aggravated fleeing or eluding in Sangamon County.

Christopher J. Moreland, (38), of Mt. Olive, committed the offense of resisting a peace officer, in that on July 27, 2024, said defendant knowingly resisted being arrested and fled on foot after said officer tried to place handcuffs on the defendant.

David A. O’Rear, (33), of Gillespie, committed the offense of criminal damage to property on July 18, 2024, in that said defendant knowingly damaged a car window without the permission of the owner and the damage not being in excess of $500.

Brooke L. Severt, (32), of Medora, committed three counts of delivering bad checks to Buck’s Crossing knowing that said checks would not be paid by the depository: count one occurred on March 26, 2024 in the amount of $166.47; count two occurred on March 30, 2024 in the amount of $300.29; and count three occurred on April 2, 2024 in the amount of $101.49.
