Staunton Senior Citizens Meeting

The Aug 1, 2024 meeting was called to order by President, Geri Cook at 1:00. . The Lord's Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were recited.

We had three people volunteering to help with set up for the meetings for month of August. At next meeting we will ask for the September volunteers.

Our semi-annual ham sandwich day will the the second meeting in Sept, the 19th. It was suggested we have an ornament exchange in December instead of a white elephant bingo. We will discuss more fully at later date. Judy Hampton and Lou Emery won the attendance prizes and Myron Hofstetler and Judy Hampton won the pots of silver. The meeting was adjourned and everyone enjoyed playing bingo. Leslie Vannoy, Executive Director of Cedarhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care in Bethalto called bingo.

We welcome all Seniors 55 and older to join us on the first and third Thursday of each month.

The next meeting of the Staunton Senior Citizens will be on August 15, 2024 at St. Paul's Christian Church, 225 S. Laurel St in Staunton at 1:00.
