As of Monday, Aug. 5, the construction of the building and soon-to-be Mexican restaurant located across the street from the Bank of Hillsboro on Main St. in Staunton, has rapidly been coming together. The owner Ismael started on the construction of his restaurant with his crew many weeks ago. With the temperature and humidity spiking over the last few weeks, outdoor labor hasn’t had it easy.
Upon meeting Ismael, the owner of Caldera Bar and Grill, one could sense that he (as well as his crew) are excited about the accumulation of progress the project is having. When asked if a picture could be permitted for the Star-Times newspaper, he jokingly stated “It’s not finished yet.”
Although it’s not finished yet, there is much anticipation to add another local, family owned restaurant to the list of the many that successfully reside here in Staunton. Local businessmen and businesswomen should be encouraged to choose Staunton as the location for them to lay their business’s foundation while also settling down, establishing and securing their family’s roots and traditions for years to come.
No date has been set or scheduled for the grand opening of Caldera Bar and Grill. Ismael, along with Marco, Scott, Steve and Nathan, will be working extremely hard and doing everything the right way to ensure the finished product represents Ismael’s vision.
