Dorchester 64th Annual Homecoming Celebration

Mark all calendars for the an- nual homecoming celebration in Dorchester the weekend of August 2, 3, and 4.

Dorchester – known for its river fish – will be serving Buffalo starting Friday afternoon around 4:00pm. Serving time starts Saturday at noon. Unfortunately, the high river level is limiting the availability of Buffalo. Plans are to serve Buffalo until Parade time or until it’s gone, at whichever time, the switch will be made to our Catfish Fritters for the remainder of the afternoon/eve- ning. Frying will begin at noon on Sunday. Our famous Food Stand will be serving barbeque, burgers, and butter ied pork chops, along with a variety of favorite sides and homemade desserts.

Enjoy LIVE music all three nights as well as nightly BINGO. Family fun includes in atables and a multi-unit playground. On Sunday, wristbands for in atables will be discounted by $5 each. And for all ages, Fireworks, spon- sored in conjunction with United Community Bank, will light up the sky on Saturday night.

On Friday, BORDERLINE kicks off the weekend, playing 7:30pm to 11:30pm. CNB Bank & Trust sponsors the Cornhole Tournament ran by Jersey County Cornhole, with registration at 6:30pm and play beginning at 7:30pm. Weekend co-ed kit- tenball events begin with a game for grade school and high school kids. Simply show up Friday; teams will be picked starting at

5:00pm, with play starting shortly thereafter. Adult co-ed tourna- ment play begins Friday evening on the lighted eld.

Saturday activities start with an open pitch horseshoe tourna- ment. Sign up starts at 9:00am, with pitching starting at 10:00am. Co-ed kittenball tournament games continue.
