Richard "Dick" Wayne Shreve, 83, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born July 9, 1941 the son of the Late Glenn and Harriet (Plopper) Shreve. He married Cynthia (Fyfe) on Aug. 6, 1965 and she survives.
He served his country as a proud U.S. Marine from 1960 to 1964 with the last two years being spent overseas in Atsugi, Japan. He attended and graduated Mt. Olive High School with the class of 1959, where he later served on the school board. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield where he gave his life to our Father on Feb. 24, 1999. He was also a member of the Moose and a life-time member of both the Amvets and the VFW.
Dick is survived by his three children, Tracy Shreve, Kellie (Dennis) Parker, and Rick (Keesha) Shreve; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Andy, Alex (Jessica), Matt, Samantha, Tommie, Gia, Caleb, and Ian; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Beckett; three sisters, Hope (Ray) Rilling, Donna Mander-Fiser, and Ruthie Traylor. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Marit; as well as two brothers, Phil and John Shreve.
