Showalter

Nancy Sue Showalter, 72, of Gillespie, passed away at Anderson Hospital in Maryville on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She was born Nov. 16, 1951 in Granite City to the Late George Emerson and Georgia M. (Ruble) Reisinger. On July 22, 1969, she and Michael E. Showalter were married in Madison, Ill., and he survives.

Nancy was a member of the Assembly of God church. She had a special heart for people with special needs. She worked with developmentally disabled and neurodivergent individuals throughout her career at a residential facility, a workshop and as a bus driver. She loved bowling and spendin...
