Lloyd E. Schaefer, 96, of Prairietown, passed away on July 19, 2024.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Schaefer, Prairietown; two daughters, Alicia (Todd) Kelly, Edwardsville, and Jennifer (Dean) Halusan, Prairietown; four grandchildren, Olivia Halusan, Ian and Evan Kelly, and Owen Halusan; many family members and friends also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, and two sisters.

According to his wishes, a private family funeral and committal service will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Prairietown on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Pastor Oliver LaMie will officiate. Williamson Funeral Home of Staunton is in charge of arrangements.
