An Accomplished Alumni And Staunton Clinic Taking Patients

Mia Rhodes is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who was raised in Staunton by her parents, Don and Patty Stefani. She attended Staunton High School and graduated with the class of 2012.

Not deterred, she continued her pursuit of education in Nursing. She first graduated in 2015 from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

She worked as an Emergency Room Nurse at McDonough District Hospital from 2015 to 2018 then at Anderson Hospital from 2018 to 2021. During that time, Mia also worked as a local traveling Emergency Room Nurse for the SSM Healthcare System in emergency rooms across the St. Louis area.

Mia continued her professional education and obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2022 from Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. After graduation, Mia joined the Carlinville Family Healthcare as a Family Nurse Practitioner until she transitioned to Staunton Clinic in 2024. She is married to Jacob Rhodes, son of Kenny and Dori Rhodes, who was also raised in Staunton, and who currently serves as a Major in the United States Army. They have two kids, who both attend the Staunton School District.

She is excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to return to Staunton and serve the community she grew up in. At Staunton Clinic, Mia is focusing on providing quality care to her local community. She is passionate about community wellness and preventative medicine with special interest in the pediatric population and woman’s health.
