Tour de Donut Riders Swarm The Start2Finish Point In Annual Race

The Tour de Donut bicycle race took off from Staunton on Saturday morning, July 13, with extremely humid weather with the month of July starting to find its groove of providing abnormally hot and humid temperatures. Bicycles could be seen for miles as the riders embarked on their round-trip donut-eating circuit. For some of the top finishers of their age and overall groups, there was not an adjusted time recorded due to many riders choosing to ride without eating a single donut. The majority of the others would stop and eat as many doughnuts as they could gorge so their time is subject to be cut. Many casual riders would leisurely ride through the Tour and stop for a doughnut or two here and there, because it would not be a Tour without the doughnuts.
