NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Macoupin County, Illinois will receive sealed bids for:

New Parking Lot for Macoupin County Elections Office, Carlinville, Illinois

Bids shall be delivered in a sealed bid envelope to the Macoupin County Jail, 215 South East Street, Carlinville, Illinois 62626, prior to 2:00 p.m. prevailing time July 30, 2024

Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time at the Project Site Meeting will begin at Elections Site, 227 East First South Street, Carlinville, Illinois (weather – Macoupin County Elections Conference Room). All Bidders are requested to attend this meeting to participate in a walk through of the Project Site.

Bids shall include:

1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate.

2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid.

3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec.39s-1 et. seq.

Plans are available for viewing and download at http://www.mmlpplanroom.com on website. Hard copies of plans will be available at Macoupin County with prior arrangement.

All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act." Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206 or on the website (http://www.state.il.us/Agency/IDOL/rates/EVENMO/MACOUPIN.htm).

All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of the Project Manual.

During the performance of this contract, the Contract shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race color, creed, national origin, gender, age or any other basis in violation of any applicable law, rule, regulation or ordinance, and shall otherwise perform in accordance with all such laws, rules, regulations and ordinances.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, made payable to Macoupin County. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid.

Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by duly authorized company acceptable to Owner.

Macoupin County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for Sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.

IN THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, MACOUPIN COUNTY, CARLINVILLE, ILLINOIS

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF CORA NOEL, deceased. NO. 2024 PR 51

Notice is given of the death of CORA NOEL, of Staunton, IL. Letters of Office were issued on June 20, 2024, to LAN NOEL, of 616 West Sixth St., Staunton, IL, whose attorney is THOMAS D. DENBY, of DENBY LAW, #5 Wall St., Carlinville, IL 62626. Claims against the estate may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Court at the Macoupin County Courthouse, Probate Division, Carlinville, Illinois, or with the representative, or both, on or before January 6, 2025, being six (6) months from the date of first publication or three (3) months from the date of mailing or delivery, whichever is later. Any claim not filed on or before that date is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the attorney within ten (10) days after it has been filed.

LEGAL NOTICE -

REQUEST FOR BID

Staunton Community Unit School District #6 is accepting bids for a new or slightly used school bus unit that meets or exceeds SCUSD #6 specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. This bid will be for one 71 passenger wheelchair accessible bus with air conditioning.

Specifications may be obtained at the Transportation Office or at the SCUSD #6 Superintendent Office, 801 N. Deneen St .; Staunton, IL 62088.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and/or to accept any part of a proposal.
