Quintin L. Saulsberry, (23), of O’Fallon, Ill., committed the Class three felony offense of domestic battery with bodily harm while having three prior domestic battery convictions, in that on June 22, 2024, said defendant struck his girlfriend on the face with a phone causing her nose to bleed.

Michael A. Gregory, (64), of Gillespie committed three felonies on June 22, 2024: count one and count two are Class three felonies for aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon, being a van, which was used to strike a victim in a public place; count three is a Class four felony for aggravated assault while knowingly operating a motor vehicle in a manner which placed said victim in reasonable apprehension of being struck.

Noah A. Girtman, (24), of Geneseo, Ill., committed two felonies on June 23, 2024: count one is a Class three felony for traveling to meet a minor, in that said defendant knowingly traveled with the purpose of engaging in the offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after using a computer online service to seduce a minor; count two is a Class four felony for grooming, in that knowingly and without said minor’s parents knowing, said defendant used an internet capable electronic device to arrange a meeting with said minor.

Jason L. Rekart, (50), of Benld, committed the Class three felony of knowingly possessing less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine on April 6, 2024.

Andrew P. Hansen, (45), of Shipman, committed the Class three felony of knowingly possessing less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine on April 23, 2024

Todd E. LaRoche, (42), of Gillespie, committed the following crimes on June 17, 2024: count one is a Class X felony for home invasion without authority, in that said defendant knowingly entered a dwelling located in Benld and while having reason to know dwelling to be occupied, LaRoche used force on the residence owner by grabbing said owner by the throat; count two is a Class two felony for aggravated domestic battery by strangulation while committing a domestic battery; count three is a Class four felony of criminal trespass to a rural Benld residence while knowing one or more persons to be present, in that said defendant knowingly and without authority entered said residence; and count four is for the crime of criminal damage to property not being in excess of $500, in that said defendant broke open a door belonging to the residence owner.

Jerome D. Bell, (46), of Carlinville, is a convicted felon under the South Carolina state laws and on June 25, 2024, Bell committed a Class three felony for the unlawful possession of a 12 gauge shotgun, which carries a non-probationable, 2 to 10-year sentencing range.

Shyla E. Cary, (36), of Springfield, committed the Class three felony of retail theft valued in excess of $300, on April 1, 2024. Said defendant knowingly took possession of animal medication offered for sale at Walmart in Carlinville.

Jacob D. Ruyle, (19), of Benld, committed the crime of criminal damage to property having damages not being in excess of $500 on May 1, 2024, in that said defendant knowingly punched and broke a glass window owned by the property owner.

David R. Scott, (36), of Carlinville, committed the crime of using bad checks with the intent to defraud to obtain control over certain property belonging to NAPA Auto Parts on April 26, 2024. Said defendant knowingly delivered certain bank checks to a NAPA Auto Parts in the amount of $432.39 and signed as the drawer, knowing said check would not be paid by the depository.

Shawn E. Evans, (53), of Brighton, committed the crime of unlawful interference of a public utility on April 1, 2024, in that said defendant knowingly installed a device with the intent to divert or interfere with a power supply, in that said defendant built a walkway from his roof and attached it to a power pole to allow the defendant to tap into the power lines and secure electricity without paying for the electricity.

Dennis W. Richardson, (44), of Thayer, Ill., committed battery on June 23, 2024, in that said defendant knowingly caused bodily harm by pushing a victim to the ground.

Timothy J. Dalpozzo, (57), of Benld, knowingly and without authority committed criminal trespass on April 20, 2024, in that said defendant entered a residential building owned by another in Gillespie.

Julius E. Turner, (22), of Springfield, committed battery on May 3, 2024, in that said defendant caused bodily harm and punched a victim in the face.

Andrew W. Rice, (33), of Carlinville, committed criminal damage to property with damages not being in excess of $500 on April 27, 2024, in that said defendant damaged a surveillance camera by pulling the wires from said camera rendering it inoperable.

John A. Crisel, (62), of Benld, knowingly and without authority committed criminal trespass on June 11, 2024, in that said defendant entered a garage owned by another in Benld.

Breann N. Werner, (31), of Litchfield, committed theft with unauthorized control having a total value of less than $500 on April 15, 2024. Said defendant knowingly and with intent to deprive, took possession of another individual’s perfume and prescription medications while at a Walmart.

DUI

Cathy L. Pohlman, (61), of Carlinville, was ticketed for driving a black, 2015 Buick passenger car, while under the influence near W. Nicholas and N. Plum in Carlinville at 11:10 p.m., on June 22, 2024.
