Delmar Melm (53) of Staunton died July 1 at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Betty Jo Geason (61) of Staunton died July 2 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.

Barbara Pacchetti (53) of Alhambra died June 30 at Hampton Nursing Care in Alhambra.

Richard N. Helm of Westminster, Colo., formerly of Staunton, died June 11 at Lutheran Hospital in Wheatridge, Colo.

Abbigail Marie Slecka, infant daughter of James and Lori Slecka of Staunton, died June 29 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Vera Marie Meyers of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Mt. Olive died June 17 at Baptist Hospital in Louisville.

The 32-mile Tour de Donut bike race is Saturday along with the Ribfest sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. The festivities will be going on all day.

Joe Wotchko, formerly of Williamson and Livingston, gave an accounting of his trip to Europe for the D-Day Celebration in June.

The Twistee Treat ice cream stand opened in Livingston in a unique building in front of The Pink Elephant.

Births: A daughter was born to Chad and Jennifer (Repp) Jenkins.

Anniversary: Lewis and Lorene Knackstedt of Alhambra will celebrate their 50th anniversary on July 12.
