Sherman Jr

Norman J. Sherman Jr., 83, of Staunton, passed away at the Community Hospital of Staunton on Friday, June 14, 2024. He was born Sept. 16, 1940 in Litchfield, Ill. the son to the late Norman J. Sherman Sr. and Katherine (Wright) Sherman. He married Shirley A. Roark on Oct. 15,1958 in Staunton and she preceded him in death on June 19, 2014.

Norman served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years during the Vietnam era. After service, he was a Coal Miner for several years.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Williams, Pensacola, Fla .; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Sherman, Staunton; brother, Tom Sherman, Gillespie; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Sherman.
