Karen Sue Frey, 82, of Staunton, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born Jan. 22, 1942 in Litchfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Nelson Goehe and Dorothy (Vogelang) Goethe. She married Charles B. “Chuck” Frey on Oct. 22, 1960 in Staunton and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1993.

She was the Vice President at First National Bank in Staunton for several years. She previously worked as a Loan Officer at First Community State Bank in Staunton and as a Bookkeeper at S and L Motor Parts in Staunton. She was a member of St. Michael Cath...
