Bartels

JoAnn Bartels, 71, of Gillespie, died at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill., on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born in Staunton on July 9, 1952 the daughter of John W. Carter and Viola L. (Fones) Carter and they preceded her in death.

She married Louis Bartels of Gillespie, on July 11, 1970 in Mt. Olive and he survives. She was the office manager for Bartels Studio. JoAnn enjoyed walking, the outdoors and her grandchildren.
