Macoupin County 4-H Poultry Show

4-H poultry members participated in the 2024 4-H Poultry Show on Friday, June 7. Members were rated on their animal’s physique, care, as well as general knowledge of the species. Each member was able to complete conference judging and share about their poultry projects.

Members participating in the 4-H Poultry Show were: Aaron and Abigail Mayfield of Livingston, Lane Gowin of Medora; Savanna Siglock, Wyld Gilmore, Olivia Hubrich, and Sadie Roberts of Carlinville; Nolen Pate of Staunton; Morgan Dambacher of Palmyra, Jaxson and Knox Strader of Plainview, and Luke Wolff of Shipman. Phil Bartz of Murrayville, IL, served as show judge. Rachel Wolff of Shipman served as show Superintendent. Members received blue ribbons for their projects. Bartz awarded the following top awards.

Through memorials in honor of 4-H volunteer and supporter Kenny Huff who passed away this Spring, each poultry member received a chicken feeder in Kenny’s memory. Kenny and Rosie Huff were dedicated to 4-H and had many special times through the years showing chickens and goats with their children, grandchildren, and 4-H families.
