Hester

Glenda F. "Dado" Hester, 88, of Bunker Hill, died at Villa Rose Senior Living Community in Bethalto on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. She was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Trenton, Ky. the daughter to Henry Clay Green and Florence O. (Armstrong) Green.

She married Royce H. Hester on May 17, 1959 in Trenton, Ky. and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2020. She was a homemaker as well as a member of the Country Bible Church.

She is survived by her three children, Melinda (Jeffrey) Bertels, Dorsey, Michael (Laurie) Hester, Bunker Hill, and Millie Hausman, Lee's Summit, Mo .; six grandchildren, Ashley (Clayton) Gill, Jordan Bertels, Shelby Hausman, Alec (fiancée, Katie Hartsock) Hester, Clay Hausman, and Paige Hester; two great-grandchildren, Jack Wilcox and Vivien Wilcox. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Green and Florence Green; sister, Juanita Price; and son-in-law, Matt Hausman.

Visitation and Funeral services were held on Monday, June 10 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill. Interment followed the service at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill. Kravanya Funeral Home of Bunker Hill was is in charge of the arrangements.
