To You … With Love,

By Avis Richardson (Retired Reverend)

Like soft toed slippers, the world of children falls so gently into time.

Here chosen guides are called to dedicate themselves to all that's beautiful within the small one's soul, so eagerly moving-in life.

As love begins there in a garden gate that opens into joy, and where Faith and trust as spoken once the Master's footsteps passes by.

I found this so in the children's prayer. The night was long and had no mind to pray and so in faith and my own soul's peace I simply said, "Now I lay me down to sleep. Pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. If I should live another day. I pray the Lord, to guide my way."

Tis, here, I learned in the surrendered life my needs are met in childish prayer. And so tonight when you kneel to pray, open your soul and tenderly say "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord... Amen

P.S. Let God be God, let him do it his way.
