Scroggins

Nancy J. Scroggins, 76, of Bunker Hill, died at La Bella of Alton on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born May 12, 1948, in Alton, to Lylburn Cagle and Josephine Glass Cagle Bewig. She married Randolph David Scroggins on June 17, 1967 at the First Congregational Church of Bunker Hill and he survives.

She was a school teacher. Nancy was a member of the First Congregational Church of Bunker Hill, the Bunker Hill Library Board, Bunker Hill Beautification Committee and Alton Teachers Union. She enjoyed birds, sewing, cooking, flowers, gardening, playing the organ and the piano.

She is survived by her two children, Amanda (Nick) Rawdon, Easton, Andrew (Heidi) Scroggins, Chicago; three grandchildren, Ashlyn Rawdon, Jordyn Rawdon, and Clark Scroggins; siblings, Jennifer (Terry) Wilhite, Springfield, Tom Cagle, Montgomery, Ala., and Sam (Barbara) Cagle, Lacey, Wash., mother-in-law, Laura Creech, Alton; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, David Scroggins; and step father-in-law, Harold Creech.

Arrangements are pending and Kravanya Funeral Home of Bunker Hill is in charge of the arrangements.
