Gary G. Pieper, 72, of Staunton, Ill., passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at his residence in Staunton. He was born April 5, 1952, the son of the late Lawrence (Babe) and Dorothy (Dot) (Hesi) Pieper. He was first married to Jane Ellen Murphy, then later married to Rhonda Marie Koval, both marriages ended in divorce.

Gary worked as a Lineman for Norfolk and Western Railroad for several years. He then worked as a Roadie for The Grateful Dead for several years, and later owned his own painting business. He was an avid gardener, outdoorsman, fisherman, and he loved to cook. Gary was a member of Z...
