The Annual Staunton Fishing Derby

The Staunton Sportsman Club held their annual Fishing Derby on May 19, 2024. The 2024 Fishing Derby Donors are as follows: Staunton Sportsman Club, Staunton Star-Times, Scott Korunka, Brian Johnston, Brian Luketich, Tim Rizzi, Greg Herbeck, John Moore, Ed Wienburner, Denny Linger, Rick Kender, Kyle Hanner, Bob Fritz, Tom Trettenro, and Subway.

The winners and the awards were as follows: Pre-Kindergarten, Biggest Bass went to Ella Troeckler, Biggest Pan went to Maren Mansholt, and Most fish went to Henry Odorizzi; First and Second Graders, Biggest Bass went to Ryker Pirok, Biggest Pan went to Paisley Titsworth, and Most Fish went to Theo Scarborough; Third and Fourth Graders, Biggest Bass went to Karson Angel, Biggest Catfish went to Wayne Royer, Jr., Biggest Pan went to Taya Scanzoni, Most Fish was a tie but went to Finn Wyatt and Henry Davin; Fifth and Sixth Grade, Biggest Bass went to Elana Oller, Biggest Pan went to Johnny Davin and Most Fish went to Beckett Pirok; Seventh and Eighth Grade, Biggest Bass went to Jaelyn Royer, Biggest Pan went to Owen Simpson, and Most Fish went to Patrick Brodbeck.
