Bank of Hillsboro Announces Move for Edwardsville Branch

Bank of Hillsboro is moving the bank’s Edwardsville branch closer to the heart of downtown. The current Bank of Hillsboro branch located at 2496 Troy Road, Edwardsville, Illinois, will permanently close on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 5:00 pm and all branch operations will be moved to the new location at 300 S. Buchanan Street, Edwardsville, Illinois, which will open on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 8:00 am.

“Bank of Hillsboro has been a part of the Edwardsville community for 25 years and our branch continues to grow in this market. We see this move as an opportunity to both provide our customers with the best possible banking experience and show our significant commitment to the Edwardsville market by making a major investment in revitalizing a great property in the community,” said Misty Borrowman, President & CEO of Bank of Hillsboro.

The plans for the new location at 300 S. Buchanan Street include an updated building, ease of ingress/egress, three drive-up lanes, an ATM, and a night drop box. “We are excited to grow our presence in Edwardsville, a community so many of us frequent and appreciate,” said SVP Regional Manager Mike Ward. “We chose this new location with both our desire to be located in the heart of the community and customer convenience in mind,” Ward added. Bank of Hillsboro sold its current location, which will be converted to retail space.

In addition to the new location, Bank of Hillsboro is proud of its continued investment in the Edwardsville community through notable local sponsorships such as the Land of Goshen Market, the recent addition of “The Little Goshen Market” area at the Edwardsville Children’s Museum, and the Edwardsville Rotary Criterium.

“Our business continues to grow in the Edwardsville market because local consumers and local businesses recognize that Bank of Hillsboro is a true community bank made up of local employees and local ownership committed to the region. We live in these communities and our customers are our friends and neighbors. These partnerships reflect the bank’s commitment to giving back to the local community and supporting local organizations,” Borrowman added.

Bank of Hillsboro is a 155-year-old community bank committed to supporting local communities and helping customers meet their financial needs. In addition to its Edwardsville branch, Bank of Hillsboro also has branches in the communities of Hamel, Alhambra, Highland, Mt.
