To You … With Love,

By Avis Richardson

(Retired Reverend)

“Loveth Thou Me”

Like a haunting hunger inside of the live blood of Peter, there would be a day when he would answer that question and from the excellent loneliness of the sea he would see Jesus standing on the shore. “Loveth thou Me?” More than theses?

It is always within the silence of the world where the soul cry’s out into the endless waves of life the answers must come. Sometimes like gentle whispering and always where the smoke of charcoal seeps into our betrayals.

It’s then, the question urges one to look beyond the moment into someone greater than the self. Be it the cave ear of the ancient seekers who felt the pull of the Sprit crying for wholeness or the one who walks the crossroads of today, each will answer yes or no.

The Story of God began in the hearts of the old ones as they sought to understand both their places in the universe and explain the strange awareness of something more. This search is called religion All find a God who is always on the sea shore calling us to follow.
