Bono

Robert "Bob" Bono, 77, of Staunton, Ill., passed away on March 30, 2024, following a hard-fought battle against Parkinson's Disease. he was born June 24, 1946, in Litchfield, Ill. the son of the late Victor and Ruth (Smith) Bono. He married Laurel Schuette on Nov. 17, 1979 at St. Michael's Church in Staunton.

After high school, Bob worked at International Paper in Litchfield. Bob served in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 on the USS Grand Canyon and was a member of the VFW. Bob was employed by Freesen, Inc. as a heavy equipment operator for many years. In addition, he owned Bob's Used Machinery and...
