According to USA Pears, a medium-sized, 100-calorie pear contains 21 percent of the recommended daily value of fiber and 8 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C. The fiber in pears can be especially beneficial, as fiber promotes a healthy gastrointestinal tract and helps maintain balance and regularity.
