The Illinois Principals Association of the Kaskaskia Region hosted its 27th Annual Student Recognition Breakfast

The Illinois Principals Association of the Kaskaskia Region hosted its Twenty-Seventh Annual Student Recognition Breakfast on Friday, March 17 at Greenville University.

This event recognizes a student from each school in the Kaskaskia region for outstanding achievements in and out of the classroom and over 50 students were honored at this event.

The Kaskaskia region includes schools in: Bond, Clinton, Fayette, Macoupin, Marion, and Montgomery Counties. The following were recognized from the Staunton Community Unit School District No. 6: Lilly Burke, Emily Eldred, and Isabelle Ellington.

Students enjoyed a buffet style breakfast followed by a motivational speech by Dr. Lori Franke-Hopkins. Students were each individually recognized in front of the audience and multiple students also received $25 Amazon Gift Cards courtesy of the Kaskaskia Region Board. All of the students also received a photograph with their principals, courtesy of LifeTouch.
