Senior citizens meeting

All seniors 55 and older are welcome to join on the first and third Thursday of each month.

The March 7, 2024 meeting was called to order by President, Geri Cook at 1 p.m. There were 20 people in attendance and The Lord's Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were recited. There was a new member, Maureen Osterbuhr. Beverly Beyer was at the meeting for the first time in a while and is doing much better. There was a request made to send cards to two members that are currently under the weather.

There was no old business other than announcing that they will have the ham sandwiches and chips at the next meeting, on March 21. They will begin eating at 12:30 p.m. before they start the meeting.

Shirley Copeland and Beverly Williams won the attendance prizes and Vicki Pryor and Beverly Beyer won the pots of silver. Several nice gifts were won on the ticket drawing and the meeting was adjourned.

Leslie Vannoy, Executive Director of Cedarhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care in Bethalto called the bingo numbers. The next meeting will be on March 21 at St. Paul's Christian Church at 225 S. Laurel St., in Staunton.
