Nathan T. Light, (38), of Chesterfield, Ill., committed a Class three felony offense for possessing less than five grams of methamphetamine or a substance containing methamphetamine on Sept. 5, 2023.
Troy A. Jones, (35), of Girard, faces multiple counts for crimes committed on Feb. 8, 2024. Counts one and two are Class two felonies for aggravated battery to two peace officers, in that the defendant punched one peace officer with a closed fist and he punched another peace officer on or about their neck and upper arm; Count three is for the offense of violating an Emergency Order of Protection, in that said defendant entered upon the property of the protected location.
Derek C. Horrighs, (34), of Pawnee, committed a Class four felony offense for theft of displayed merchandise having a total value not in excess of $300 on Dec. 14, 2023. Said defendant knowingly took possession of grocery food items belonging to the Dollar General located in Virden without paying full retail value. Said defendant has previously been convicted of retail theft in Macoupin County.
Crystal D. Cooper, (38), of Wilsonville, committed a Class four felony offense for the unlaw possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 24, 2023. Said defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a substance containing tramadol.
Raymond E. Jones, (56), of Carlinville, faces two counts of felony charges for the crimes committed on Feb. 6. 2024: Count one is a Class two felony charge, in that said defendant being a sex offender, was released from the Macoupin County Jail on Jan. 23, 2024 and as of Feb. 6, 2024, he had not registered with the City of Carlinville and having previously been convicted of failure to register in Macoupin county; Count two is a Class three felony, Extended Term Eligible, for the crime of escaping and violating an electronic monitoring detention program. Said defendant, a person charged with a felony and conditionally released from the supervising authority through an electronic home monitoring detention program, knowingly removed his electronic monitoring device without authorization from the Court.
Alicia N. Tamosaitis, (27), of Benld, faces two counts for crimes committed on Feb. 14, 2024: Count one is a Class four felony for domestic battery with a prior domestic battery conviction, in that said defendant knowingly and without legal justification, struck a household member of the defendant in the head with a toaster oven; Count two is for the offense of aggravated assault with the use of a deadly weapon, in that said defendant raised a large brick and chased said household member with said brick, placing the household member in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.
Brandon L. Johnston, (23), of Carlinville, faces a Class three felony charge for aggravated battery in a public place, in that said defendant knowingly caused bodily harm to another individual being he struck them in the face with his fist while on E. Jackson Street of Macoupin County on Feb. 7, 2024.
Jeremy D. Peters, (45), of Eagarville, faces three counts of felony charges for crimes committed on Feb. 14, 2024: Count one is a Class two felony for burglary, in that said defendant knowingly and without authority entered a house located in Staunton with the intent to commit therein a theft; Count two is a Class three felony for theft of items such as an axe, a tablesaw, various electrical parts, furnishings, and other items, with the intent to permanently deprive and having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000; and Count three is a Class four felony for having previously been convicted of burglary in Montgomery County.

Wilson, (26), of Eagarville, faces two felony charges for crimes that were committed Feb. 14, 2024: Count one is a Class two felony charge for burglary, in that said defendant knowingly and without authority entered a house in Staunton with the intent to commit therein a theft; and Count two is a Class three felony for theft of items such as an axe, a tablesaw, various electrical parts, furnishings, and other items, with the intent to permanently deprive and having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000.
Jeremy P. Cagle, (45), of Virden, was cited for littering on E. Lincoln Avenue located in Virden on Feb. 4, 2024 at 9:27 p.m.
Jeffrey A. Burtle, (53), of Virden, was cited for littering on N. Church St. located in Virden on Feb. 4, 2024 at 9:58 p.m.
James C. McClelland, (30), of Auburn, was cited for littering on E. Lincoln Avenue located in Virden on Feb. 4, 2024 at 9:27 p.m.
Hannah E. Naugle, (23), of Carlinville, faces a charge for the offense of criminal trespass to a residence on Feb. 12, 2024. Said defendant, without authority, knowingly entered into a residence located on W. 2nd South St. in Carlinville.
Narongsak T. Arriola, (41), of Denison, Texas, committed the crime of bad checks with the intent to obtain control over property on Dec. 21, 2023. Said defendant, with the intent to defraud and the intent to obtain control over property of Madison Communications by delivering certain bank checks drawn on E-Check payable to Madison Communications in the amount of $94.95 and signed as drawer knowing said check would not be paid by the depository.
Jamie E. Cox, (38), of Carlinville, committed the offense of criminal trespass to a building, in that said defendant knowingly and without lawful authority entered the Amtrak station building located on Alton Road in Carlinville in Dec. 25, 2023.
Bruce A. Day, (58), of Carlinville, committed the offense of criminal trespass to land, in that said defendant entered upon the Macoupin County Housing Authority’s property on Anderson St. in Carlinville after having received prior notice from the landowner that such entry was forbidden on Dec. 24, 2023.
Katie M. Maimgren, (21), of Rockford, was ticketed on Jan. 22, 2024 for the offense of a minor being in possession of an alcoholic beverage in Carlinville.
DUI
Matthew M. Lyons, (30), of Carlinville, was ticketed for driving a silver 2003 Ford passenger car while under the influence of alcohol, being a first or second offense on Feb. 10, 2024 at 10:41 p.m. on Anderson St. in Carlinville.
