Werner

Robert Charles Werner, age 95, of Staunton, formerly of Millstadt, Ill., passed away on Jan. 13, 2024 at the Community Hospital of Staunton. He was born March 2, 1928, in St. Louis the son of the late Ernest-Hugo and Christine Ida (Toennies) Werner. Robert married his wife, Charlotte, on July 30, 1950 and she preceded him in death on April 6, 2021.

Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he earned the Korean Service Medal with a bronze service star. He is a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairietown, Millstadt VFW Post 7980. Robert owned and operated many green...
