Published in the Interest of the Staunton Community for Over 143 Years
On Tuesday, Jan. 30, around lunch time or 12 p.m., those present for the Staunton Health and Rehab Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony were welcomed with open arms from the friendly specialists and staff. Their excellent care and supportive environment is what allows this nursing home to feel like a home where residents feel like family.
The center is located in Staunton at 215 W. Pennsylvania St. As Chamber of Commerce members cut the ribbon with Staunton Health and Rehab Center staff members, it opened a new chapter for their state-of-the-art facility as well as another avenue for those in need of nursing home assistance in the Staunton community.
The Staunton Health and Rehab Center has what it considers the “Three Pillars of Staunton.” The following are the three pillars:
Genuine Hometown Care: Every care center has an obligation to provide exceptional care. Committing to provide Genuine Hometown Care means accepting this obligation, with the additional responsibility that doing so in a small town and community entails. They view caring for friends and neighbors as not only a responsibility, but as an opportunity, one they strive to live up to every day.
Treating Staff Like Family: They recognize that the staff are the most important customers. The staff is provided the opportunity to engage with management at all levels and they are always looking for ways to improve the employee experience. It’s simple, in order to have staff that provides the care the residents deserve, management holistically equips them with the material tools they require and the means to be fulfilled by their careers.
Community Engagement: Their goal is to have their facilities be an integral cornerstone of the communities they serve and they’re aware that those communities rely and trust in them. To repay that trust by giving back to the communities in innovative and diverse ways sounds like it not only belongs here in the City of Staunton, but the City appreciates all that they do.
