David A. Depper, (38), of Hettick, committed a Class three felony offense on Jan. 5, 2024, being a sex offender, the defendant failed to register as a sex offender with the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department.

Matthew W. Stoops, (32), of Bunker Hill, committed two counts of crimes committed on Jan. 23, 2024: Count one is a Class three felony offense for knowingly aiding, abetting, possessing, and/or selling a stolen, gold Ford passenger car that belonged to another; Count two is for the offense of criminal damage to property with the damage not being in excess of $500, in that said defendant struck and broke the driver side window of the before mentioned Ford vehicle.

Patrick M. Nejmanowski, (57), of Carlinville, committed three felonies on Nov. 27, 2023: Count one is a Class two felony offense of aggravated DUI, in that said defendant was in physical control of a 2002 Chevrolet truck on Route 4 near Donaldson Road in rural Macoupin County, while under the influence of alcohol. Nejmanowski has previously been convicted of driving under the influence on three prior occasions on May 7, 1985 in Washington County, then March 11, 1994 and Oct. 26, 2004 both in Macoupin County; Count two is Class three felony, non-probationable offense of driving with a revoked/suspended license. Said defendant has previously been convicted of driving while his license is suspended or revoked five times on March 12, 2008 in Macoupin County as well as Sept. 30, 2008, June 22, 2011, and June 11, 2015 occurring in Macoupin County, July 13, 2015 in Madison County, and July 28, 2017 in Montgomery County; Count three is a Class four felony for the offense of aggravated DUI with a suspended or revoked license with the above mentioned vehicle.

Steven E. McArthur, (40), of Carlinville, committed three counts of felony charges: Count one is a Class one felony, non-probationable offense for residential burglary, in that on Nov. 1, 2023, he knowingly and without authority entered a residence located in rural Carlinville with the intent to commit theft. Counts two and three occurred on Dec. 15, 2023: Count two is a Class one felony offense of aggravated possession of more than two but less than five firearms, being a Wesson Model SW22 Victory pistol, a Winchester Model 255 Lever Action 22 Rifle, and a Marlin Golden 59A 22 Caliber Lever Action and knowing them to be stolen; Count three is a Class three felony offense for the unlawful possession of the above mentioned weapons by a felon.

Brayden M. Hydron, (26), of Livingston, faces two counts for crimes committed on Jan. 19, 2024: Count one is for resisting a peace officer engaged in the identification and arrest of the defendant and said defendant pulled away from said officer handcuffing him; Count two is for the offense of criminal trespass to a building, in that said defendant knowingly and without authority entered Rainbow Laundry, located in rural Staunton.

Yahacov I. Dennis, (21), of Chicago, committed the offense of battery on Jan. 21, 2024, in that said defendant knowingly and without legal justification struck a victim on the left side of her neck and face.

Toni Lynn Kellow, (24), of Mt. Olive, committed the known delivery of certain bank checks drawn on E-Check and made payable to Madison Communications in the amount of $64.95. The checks were signed as a drawer, knowing said check would not be paid by the depository on Nov. 21, 2023.

Zachery R. Fagg, (28), of Palmyra, committed the criminal charges on Jan. 13, 2024: Count one is for criminal damage to property with the damage not being in excess of $500, in that said defendant knowingly slashed a victim’s automotive tires; Count two is for the offense of criminal trespass to land, in that said defendant entered upon the land of another located in rural Palmyra, after having received prior notice from the landowner that such entry was forbidden.

Steven R. Allen, (19), Palmyra, was ticketed for illegal consumption by a minor on E. King St. located within Palmyra on Jan. 16, 2024.

Benjamin S. Shepard, (29), of Moro, was ticketed for driving a white, 2011 Chevrolet truck with a suspended or revoked license on Rock Crusher Rd. in Staunton on Jan. 20, 2024 at 12:47 a.m.
