Robert Eugene Fritz (55) of Staunton died Feb. 26 at his home.
Doris E. Barr (71) of Worden died Jan. 30 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville.
Robert E. Sullivan (70) of Edwardsville died Jan. 27 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Harry James Boston, Jr. (40) of St. Louis died on Jan. 25 in St. Louis.
Stella (Knaus) Bird (93) formerly of Staunton died Jan. 29 in St. Paul, Minn.
Ethel May Karrick (70) of Lake KaHo, Mt. Olive, died Jan. 26 at her home.
Emma Anna Hartke (80) of Litchfield died Jan. 25 at Litchfield Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Genevieve Kuklis (76) of Arvada, Colo., formerly of Benld, died Jan. 27 at Exempla Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
Wilma M. Haferkamp (73) of Mt. Olive died Feb. 1 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Staunton fire fighters underwent cold-water training at the Sportsman’s Club. Ice rescues were performed with members of the department being both the “victims” and the rescuer.
The Monterey Mine near Carlinville was sold by ExxonMobil to The Cline Group last week. The mine should be operating by summer.
Git-R-Done Graph-x opened a shop on Main Street offering personalized items of all kinds.
A daughter was born to Ivan and Lachelle Booth on Nov. 7, 2008.
Chad Neuhaus, formerly of Staunton, and Bridget Heavey, formerly of Des Plaines, were married in Bloomingdale.
