Hildebrand

Herbert M. Hildebrand, 87, of Alton, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. on Jan. 24, 2024. He was born Dec. 20, 1936, in Carlinville, the son of Alvin Hildebrand and Nellie Elberg Hildebrand.

He was a retired school bus driver and a veteran of the US Air Force after having served from 1958-1962.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Bradley W. Hildebrand.

He is survived by his brother, David W. Hildebrand of Gillespie.

Funeral services were held Jan. 30, 2024, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie.
