William Joseph Jines, 92, of Gillespie, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. on Jan. 19, 2024. He was born Aug. 12, 1931, in Sikeston, Mo.
He was a retired after having worked in the aircraft parts procurement for the U.S. Government. He was a veteran of the US Navy after having served during Korea.
He is survived by his niece, Deborah Dial of Austin, Texas; great nephews, Thomas Alpi of Gillespie and Michael Dial of Austin, Texas; great-great-nieces and nephews, Michael Dial II, Megan Dial, and Bryce Alpi. William was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pauline Crouse; sister, Carmen Larker; and nephew, Dennis Dedlow.
Friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Kravanya Funeral Home, in Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Gillespie.
