Teresa (Terri) Satterlee, 63, of Mt. Olive, passed away on Jan. 11, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born on Sept. 2, 1960 in Granite City to Ernest Neil Hutchins and Vivian Alene Carriker. She married her husband, Greg Satterlee of Mt. Olive and he survives.
Terri has always enjoyed life and being involved with family and friends was a priority. She always desired involvement in any activity. Terri was always smiling and greeting everyone with her infectious smile. Terri never met a stranger and was not afraid to initiate a conversation with anyone. Terri’s need for social interaction was the driving force that helped her to choose the work that she performed over the years. Most recently, she was employed as an associate at Walmart where she continued to work while filling her social interaction needs.
She is survived by her two brothers, Steve of Mt. Olive and Dave (Patti) of Godfrey; sisters: Vicki (Bob) of Ocala, Fla., Joetta (Steve)of West Palm Beach, Fla., Tricia (Ernie) of Troy; children, Amanda (Phil) of Pawnee, Derek (Melinda) of Springfield, Brandi Satterlee of Mt. Olive, Chad Satterlee (Brook) of Walshville; and her nine grandchildren that helped to fuel her beautiful, uncontrollable smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Hutchins and Vivian Carriker; her son, Steven, who passed away in 2003. Visitation and funeral services took place at Becker and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 15, 2024. Becker and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
