Donna N. Faulkner, 83, of Staunton, died at St. John's Hospital in Springfield on Jan. 6, 2024. She was born Dec. 27, 1940 in Willisville to Donald Vickery and Margaret (Atteberry) Vickery. She married Darrell Faulkner on July 1, 1961 in East St. Louis, Ill.
She was a homemaker and a former Eastern Star member. Donna was a former member of the First United Baptist Church of Staunton. She was a member of the NET Community Church of Staunton. Donna was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma whose eyes are now open in Heaven.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Vickery; brother, Joe Vickery; sister, Beverly Vickery; and son-in-law, Clark Schwappach.
She is survived by her spouse, Darrell Faulkner of Staunton; children, Scott (Valerie) Faulkner of Mt. Olive and Anita Schwappach of Mattoon; grandchildren, Heidi (R. J.) Johnson, Christine (Matt) Marietta, Kimberly (Kenneth Collins) Faulkner, and Heather (Justin) McCollum; great-grandchildren, Kieyerra, Jesse, Lucas, Obadiah, and Levi; and brother, John Vickery of Percy, Ill.
Visitation was on Jan. 15, 2024 at Net Community Church in Staunton from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A celebration of life service will follow at Net Community Church in Staunton at 11:30 a.m. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie was in charge of the arrangements.
