Miller

Norman Gene Miller, 91, passed away at his residence on Jan. 5, 2024. Norman was born on Feb. 14, 1932 to the late Donald Miller and Edna (Guthels) Miller. Norman married Elizabeth (Johnson) Miller on May 18, 1957 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Douglas and she survives. He attended Mt. Olive Grade School and Mt. Olive High School and graduated with the class of 1950. Norman was a member of the U.S. Army Mortar Company 350th Infantry Regiment and he received an honorable discharge.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Bob) Osmoe and Jean (Gary) Salzman; three sons, Jeffrey (Carrie) Miller, Steven (Gena) Miller, and Douglas (Rhonda) Miller; ten grandchildren, Angela (Corey) Johnson, Amanda (Jeff) Osmoe, Emily (Marc) Ruemmler, Tara (John) Kardis, Michael (Lindsey) Knes, Bradley (Kacy) Miller, Margaret (Zack) Eickhoff, Jesse Pruden, Jake (Kendra) Miller, and Aiden Johnson; twelve great-grandchildren, Blair Johnson, Kate and Vivian Osmoe, Aiden and Ethan Ruemmler, Ellie Kardis, Libby and Millie Knes, Jackson Miller, Brenden Eickhoff, Ania Hargrove, and Abby McCulloch; brother, Nelson Miller; brother-in-law, Arthur (Carolyn) Johnson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond (Mary) Miller, Paul Miller, and Marvin Miller; sister-in-law, Carol Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen (Bill) Niehaus; uncle, Richard Miller; and granddaughter, Dannielle Durborow.

Visitation will take place at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024 from 9 to 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by Reverend Gary Hanover and Reverend Ed Fogle. Interment will take place at the Mt. Olive City Cemetery immediately following the service.

Lunch for family and friends will take place at the Mt. Olive VFW following interment. Becker and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
