piano of Allen Toussaint with an homage of “Sneakin’ Sally Through The Alley” being the name of the album and of the first track on the record; it’s got slow jams; funky dance music; and relaxing rock to top it off.
This album was chosen by the Editor of the Star-Times and it was not done at random; each album of each week is personally significant in some form or fashion.
The Star-Times wants to encourage the community to send in any submittions on their favorite albums or music pieces. There is no denying the power of music and the wholesome connections that can be made through it. The hope is to eventually tune in, divulge and listen to the weekly albums sent in by individuals amongst the community. A list of some examples that could be included with the album are as follows: history and/or background;
why it's significant to oneself;
memories attached good or bad and what lesson good or bad resulted from it;
favorite song or songs;
favorite band member instrument;
What music means to oneself;
and/or any ideas associated with an album or piece of music in general.
You can email the Star-Times publication at [email protected] or you can drop of any submittions at our office drop box located on 108 W. Main Street or stop in during our weekly business hours.
