Moreland

Loren Franklin Moreland, 96, of Dow, passed away at Alton Memorial Hospital on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023. He was born on Aug. 17, 1927 in Taylor Springs, Ill., the son of the late Charlie and Gertrude Fern (Lock) Moreland.

Loren married Judy Ann Hurst and she preceded him in death. He worked at Lockhaven Country Club before retiring.

Loren is survived by his son Joe (Judy) Moreland of Wood River; brother, Elvis Moreland; step-sons Sid (Debbie) Fleury and Bob (Eva) Fleury; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sis...
