Profaizer

Carol Ann Profaizer, 84, of Gillespie, Ill., died at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, Ill. on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023. She was born Dec. 2, 1939 in Gillespie the daughter to the late Joe Bourey and Marie (Hamlin) Bourey.

She married Frank J. Profaizer on Oct. 10, 1959 in Gillespie and he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2010.

She was a bank teller in Springfield, Ill. Carol was a former volunteer at Gillespie Public Library. She loved bingo, pinochle, crocheting, growing flowers and cruising in her convertible.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Marie Bourey; sister, Madeline Hrastich; brothers-in-law, Ray Tippins, Bill Fellin, and William Hrastich. She is survived by her children, Steven (Laura) Profaizer of Colmesneil, Texas, Joe (Carrie) Profaizer of Rocky Mount, Mo., and Susan (Mike) Marcacci of Benld, Ill .; grandchildren, Jessie, Kennedy, Travis, Dylan, Maya, Michael, Nick, and Whitney; great-grandchildren, Paisley and Reed; siblings, Helen Fellin of Taylorville, Loretta Tippins of Des Moines, Iowa, and JoAnn (Don) Pratt of Monticello.

Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 21, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 5. until 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie at 7:30 p.m. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements.
