David J. Berry, 80, of Alton, was called home with the Lord on Dec. 10, 2023 while at home surrounded by his wife, Sylvia Fitzgerald Berry and family.

David served in the Air Force and was also a mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering with things whenever he could.

David is survived by his siblings, Sue and Jeff Langley, Sherman (Melody), Dale, and Jim (Annette); daughter, Pam (Charles) Leave; step-daughter Vanessa Fitzgerald; grandchildren, JerAme and Aaliyah; son, Keith (Jackie) Berry; and grandchildren, Ronnie Hookland, Devon, Olivia, Amber, and Miranda.
