Saturday Nov. 25, 2023. The Staunton Chamber of Commerce along with the City of Staunton is proud to present the 2023 edition of the “Staunton Seasonal Spectacular.” Beginning the festivities on Saturday Nov. 25, at 5 p.m. there will be the official lighting of Duda Park. The newest attraction features many animated christmas lights, music and food will be available. Volunteers, helpers, and anyone who knows how to turn on lights are needed for the lighting of “Duda Park.”
This year’s Holiday Walk is taking place on Friday, Dec. 1 from 4-8 p.m. This long held Staunton holiday tradition will feature refreshments, crafts and specials from participating local businesses, the lighting of the Main Street Christmas Tree, and the presentation of the Community’s Citizen of The Year. Among participating businesses, which will be open extended hours, will be Passport Spots for your chance to win “Chamber Dollars.”
This year the town will be “Rockin Around the Christmas Tree” with live music performed by the Whiskey River Band. Stroll through a lit up Duda Park, enjoy a nice hot cup of cocoa, view the live Nativity on the stage area of Duda Park, and take in the yuletide joy of the season.
Saturday Dec. 2, 2023 - (Post Prom - 5K Run)
This year’s Holiday Hustle will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 2 right before Snack With Santa.
The Marathon will take place on Main Street in Staunton and participants will be able to run or walk at their own pace. Be sure to come out, make like a reindeer and stretch your legs at this yearly seasonal stroll through downtown Staunton.
Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 - (Staunton Chamber, Annual Snack With Santa)
Capping off the weekend on Dec. 2 is Snack With Santa. Another long held Staunton tradition, Santa will be on the corner of Main St. and Wood St. from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Come visit and enjoy Christmas cookies with jolly St. Nick. Face painting will be available and passport stops with over 15 businesses offering free items. Giant inflatables will be fun for the kids. All free of charge.
