Persons are considered innocent until proven guilty. In criminal actions, the person has been charged by a law enforcement agency but is entitled to a hearing or trial to argue his innocence.

Court

Brittany J. Smith (27 ) of Greenfield, faces a felony charge for the unlawful possession of controlled substance, being that on Aug. 18, 2023, said defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a substance containing methylphenidate, a controlled substance, other than as authorized in the controlled substance act.

Alexander J. Worland (33) of Walshville, faces a felony charge for knowingly possessing less than five grams of methamphetamine or a substance containing the said substance on Aug. 24, 2023.

Gauge Patrick Hannah (19) of Girard, faces a felony charge for aggravated battery in a public place, being that the said defendant knowingly caused bodily harm to another individual on Oct. 28, 2023. Hannah struck said individual in the face with a bottle of Brisk Ice Tea, while on the property of Casey's General Store, within Macoupin County, a public place of accommodation or amusement.

Quentin G. Thrasher (21) of Pawnee, faces two counts of criminal sexual assault that both occurred on May 14, 2023; Count one contains that he held down the victim by use of force and penetrated her. Count two is for aggravated criminal sexual abuse that said defendant committed on the victim, who was at least 13 but under 17 years of age when the act was committed. Thrasher was more than five years older than the victim.

Zachery T. Connelly (33) of Virden, faces a felony charge for failing to report weekly with no fixed address, being that on Oct. 20, 2023, Connelly is a sex offender who was registering weekly due to having no fixed address He knowingly failed to register within a week of his last reporting which occurred on Oct. 6, 2023.

Samantha K. Komnick (36) of Brighton, committed the offense of theft and unauthorized control having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000, being that the said defendant knowingly exerted unauthorized control of a 2022 XMark lawn mower. Komnick concealed and abandoned the property knowing such an action probably will deprive the owner permanently of such use or benefit of said mower.

Kenneth D. Gyorkos (19) of Thayer, committed the crime of violating a Stocking and No Contact Order in Macoupin County on Sept. 1, 2023. Said defendant did violate the terms of said order being that he knowingly entered upon the property of North Mac High School, a protected location and was prohibited by the Court.

Charles W. Foster Jr. (66) of Medora, committed the offense of littering, being that on Sept. 29, 2023, said defendant threw household trash upon private property, located within Medora, Macoupin County, without the permission of the property owner.

Kyra I. Mostajo (41) of Staunton, committed the offense of criminal damage to property, being that on Sept. 1, 2023, said defendant knowingly did damage to a plastic table belonging to Rainbow Laundry, without the permission of Rainbow Laundry. Mostajo burned and melted part of the table with a lighter bringing the damage not being in excess of $500.

Timothy J. Dalpozzo (56) of Benld, committed the offense of criminal trespass into a building, being that on Aug. 21, 2023, said defendant knowingly and without lawful authority entered into a building located within Benld, of Macoupin County.

Dylan R. Bennett (24) of Atwater, committed the offense of criminal damage to property, being that the said defendant knowingly damaged the property of an another individual being a storage unit, without permission, on Sept. 21, 2023. Bennett painted graffiti on the storage unit and the damage not being in excess of $500. On Sept. 2, 2023, Bennett committed the offense of criminal damage to property, where he knowingly damaged property of Carlinville Public Library by painting graffiti on the book return without permission. The damage not being in excess of $500.

James E. Morgan (41) of Carlinville, committed the offense of criminal damage to property on Aug. 30, 2023, being that the said defendant knowingly damaged a vehicle hood without permission of said victim. Morgan jumped on the hood of said vehicle and the damage not being in excess of $500. On Sept. 21, 2023, Morgan committed the offense of criminal trespass to residence, without authority and knowingly entered into a residence located within Carlinville.

Tristan R. Stotler (23) of Mount Olive, committed the offense of knowingly possessing a knuckle weapon, being a black jack-knife, on Oct. 27, 2023.

Mellanie J. Gustafson (26) of Girard, committed the crime of violating a Stocking and No Contact Order on Oct. 29, 2023. Gustafson, having been served with notice of the Macoupin County Stocking No Contact Order, did intentionally make contact with a protected party via telephone.

Jordan D. Bishop (20) of Wood River, committed the offense of knowingly violating an order of protection, an act prohibited by an order of protection in Madison County. On Oct. 31, 2023, after having been served with notice of said Order of Protection, Bishop had in-person contact with a protected party.

Kathy J. Henderson (49) of Staunton, committed the offense of bad checks and/or to obtain control of property, on April 25, 2023, with the intent to defraud and the intent to obtain control of certain property of Randy’s Market. Henderson delivered bank checks to Randy’s Market, Macoupin County, drawn on United Community Bank payable to Randy’s Market in the amount of $100.49 and signed as drawer, knowing said check would not be paid by the depository.
