The Bulldogs lost in the second round of football playoffs to the Stillman Valley Cardinals by a score of 15-27. Their season was completed with a 7-4 record.

Joe and Joyce Pazero of Worden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 6.

Mike LaFuria (82) of Coffeen died Nov. 6 at Montgomery Health Care Center at Taylor Springs.

George John Popovich (84) of White City died Nov. 7 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Claudia M. Zyph (96) of Bunker Hill formerly of Wood River, died Nov. 5 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Staunton.

Evadean O. Allen (60) of White City died at her residence on Nov. 8.

Rose Teresa Andrist (91) of New Douglas, died Nov. 6 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Thomas Arthur Bauer (45) of Gillespie died Nov. 5 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Douglas L. Jackson, 45, of Gillespie was arrested for the murder of his brother Kelly W. Jackson and step-father John L. McAfee, both of Williamson on Nov. 5.

Staunton’s Volley for the Cure donation was the largest in the state of Illinois at $4,600.

A son was born to Jennie Ziegler and Rob Wilson of Litchfield on Nov. 4.

A son was born to Michael L. Smith and Angela Pierce of Staunton on Nov. 4.
