Enjoy fellowship and bingo twice a month; on the first and third Thursday’s.
The Nov. 2, 2023 meeting was called to order at 1 p.m. by President, Gerri Cook. There were 19 members in attendance that recited The Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
There was a discussion regarding the club’s financial assets. Several suggestions were made for everyone to consider. The discussion will continue onto the next business meeting in Dec. A member has broken an ankle and there will be a get-well card sent. The holiday luncheon will be at the next meeting, Nov. 16. We will start eating at noon, so everyone should come early to purchase bingo cards.
Meal will cost the members $5 with the club paying the rest. Dessert will be provided by Leslie Vannoy, Executive Director of Cedarhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care in Bethalto. The menu is fried chicken, mostaccioli, salad, green beans, scalloped potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower medley.
The attendance prizes were won by Margaret Heimemeyer and Judy Hampton, Vicki Pryor and Judy Hampton won the pots of silver. The meeting was adjourned by president Cook and everyone enjoyed playing bingo called by Leslie Vannoy. The next Senior Citizens meeting will be on Nov. 16, 2023, at 1 p.m. after a noon luncheon held at St. Paul Christian Church at 225 S. Laurel Street in Staunton.
