Court

Courtney R. Wilson (36) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for aiding, abetting, possessing, and/or selling, a stolen vehicle, as well as a felony charge for theft. On Oct. 6, 2023, Wilson, a person not entitled to possession of said vehicle and knowing it to be stolen, possessed a white 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and intended to deprive the owner permanently of the use and benefit of the property. The total value of the deprived property is in excess of $10,000 but does not exceed $100,000.

Austin M. Frayer (25) of Coffeen, faces a felony charge for receiving, possessing, and/or selling, a stolen vehicle on Oct. 7, 2023. Frayer, a person not entitled to the possession of a vehicle, knowingly possessed said vehicle, being a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle bearing an Ill. registration.

Antonio L. Zollicoffer (35) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for knowingly delivering less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine on March 22, 2023.

Chelsea N. Broaddus (29) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for retail mercantile theft after having been previously convicted of retail theft in Macoupin County. On Oct. 7, 2023, Broaddus knowingly took possession of sunglasses and other general merchandise offered for sale within a Walmart located in Carlinville, having a total value not in excess of $300. Broaddus did so with the intention of depriving the merchant of their property permanently without paying the full retail value of such merchandise.

David L. Brown (58) of Virden, faces a felony charge for aggravated battery involving a peace officer, in that Brown, knowingly caused bodily harm to a peace officer for the Carlinville Police Department. On Oct. 11, 2023, Brown, head-butted said officer in the face causing a bloody nose while knowing the peace officer was engaged in the execution of his official duties.

Jonathan M. Kirkwood (26) of Benld, faces a felony charge for knowingly possessing less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine on Aug. 28, 2023.

Kirklund A. Davis (26) of Sawyerville, committed the offense of knowingly resisting the performance of a peace officer of an act within his official capacity, being the detention of said defendant. On Oct. 11, 2023, Davis pulled away from said officer, knowing the officer to be engaged in the execution of his job.
