Sarah R. Parker (34) of Springfield, faces a felony charge for residential burglary, in that on Sept. 29, 2023, Parker knowingly and without authority entered into a residence located on Quarton Road, within Macoupin County, with the intent to commit theft.
Glenn D. Rice (52) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for aggravated assault while operating a motor vehicle on Oct. 1, 2023. Rice committed an assault and without justification operated a motor vehicle and gave reasonable suspicion to receive battery in doing so.
Chelsea N. Broaddus (29) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge of theft in that said defendant knowingly took possession of merchandise offered for sale in a retail establishment, being Tobacco row, located in Virden. On Sept. 2, 2023, Broaddus stole a vape, having a total value not in excess of $300, with the intention of depriving the merchant permanently, without paying the full retail value after having been previously convicted of retail theft in Macoupin County.
Robert Lee Jones (45) of Gillespie, faces five counts of felony charges for child pornography that occurred on or about Nov. 20, 2022. He faces 15 counts of felony charges for child pornography on or between March 25, 2023 and Oct. 3, 2023. He faces three counts of felony charges for the failure to register as a sex offender on or between May 14, 2023 and Oct. 3, 2023.
Eric Nmi Foster (59) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for knowingly failing to report to Macoupin County Jail on Oct. 3, 2023 to begin serving an Illinois Department of Correction sentence as required in the Judgment entered on Sept. 26, 2023.
Scott A. Schehl Jr. (33) of Mt. Olive, faces two counts of felony charges in that on Aug. 26, 2023, Schehl Jr. acting with two or more persons and without authority of law, recklessly used force or violence, disturbing the peace, along with Ricky Starr. They went to the residence located at Mill Street in Mt. Olive, threatened violence against an occupant and said individuals kicked open the door to said residence. On Aug. 26, 2023, Schehl Jr., also committed the offense of assault for pounding on the door to the residence of an individual and threatened to beat up said individual.
Ricky M. Starr (43) of Gillespie, faces two counts of felony charges in that on Aug. 26, 2023, Starr, acting with two or more persons and without authority of law, recklessly used force or violence, disturbing the peace, along with Scott Schehl. They went to a residence located at Mill Street in Mt. Olive, and threatened violence against an occupant and said individuals kicked open the door to said residence. On Aug. 26, 2023, Starr committed the offense of criminal damage to property, being an apartment door and the damage not being in excess of $500. Also committed the offense of battery and criminal trespass, in that said defendant knowingly entered a residence in Mt. Olive and also caused bodily harm to an individual by striking said individual in the chest with his fist.
Robert D. Sanson (33) of Staunton, faces felony charges for residential burglary, in that on Aug. 13, 2023, Sanson knowingly and without authority entered into a residence within Staunton, with the intent to commit a theft. Sanson knowingly exerted unauthorized control over a tv and clothing, having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000, with the intent to permanently deprive the victim of said property.
DUI
Kevin L. Sievers (61) of Gillespie, was ticketed for two counts of driving under the influence on Macoupin Street and Spruce Street of Gillespie on Sept. 28, 2023 at 9:44 p.m.
