Albrecht

Norma A. Albrecht, 98, of Worden, Ill., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. Born Sept. 6, 1925, in Omphghent Township, Madison County, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Emelia (Gusewelle) Dustmann. She married Victor P. Albrecht on Feb. 28, 1954, in Prairietown, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1992.

She worked as a secretary at Shell Oil in Roxana from the time she graduated high school to starting her family. She later worked with her husband working on the family farm and the trucking business. Norma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden and the Ladies Aid as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Worden American Legion Post # 564. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her Glenwood friends in the last year. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Klenke of rural Worden; a son, Ronald (Kelly) Albrecht of rural Worden; four grandchildren, Danny (Amber) Klenke of Worden, Angela (Eric) Byerly of Palmyra, Mo., Olivia and Katie Albrecht of rural Worden; one great-granddaughter, Addison Byerly of Palmyra, Mo .; three siblings, Marlen (LaVonne) Dustmann, Wilma Brunnworth, and Myra Daugherty. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Eldon, Loris, Delmar, and Bill Dustmann; three brothers-in-law, Orville Albrecht, Lorenz (Coleen) Albrecht, Adolph Albrecht; two sisters-in-law, Golda Albrecht, Mildred (Wib) Dustmann; three brothers-in-law, Al Brunnworth, Dale Jones, Darrol Daugherty; and one son-in-law, Randy Klenke.

Friends may call from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden with Pastor Heath Curtis officiating. Burial will be held at Worden Lutheran Cemetery in Worden.
