We couldn't have been blessed with a better day for our "Flag Day" on Thursday, Sept. 28. The low net came from the teams of Denise Hemphill and Kim Meyer (43) and the team of Rosemarie Pickerill and Gloria Paolino (21). Rosemarie and Gloria also had low putts (11). They all received cash awards.
The special games were as follows: #7 (closest chip to hole) Martha Riley; #8 (longest drive) Denise Hemphill; #9 (shortest drive) Gloria Paolino; and #1 (closest drive to flag) Kim Meyer. Cash prizes were awarded for special games. During the season, individual birdies were awarded to Barb Augustine, Rosemarie Pickerill and Sue Stiegemeier (2), and they also received cash awards.
Mums were attendance prizes and the winners were Martha Riley, Bev Kramer, Kim Meyer and Gloria Paolino. We would like to give a special thanks for the great lunch prepared by Kim Meyer, which was topped off by luscious desserts prepared by Denise Hemphill. A short business meeting was held and it was agreed upon that Rosemarie will continue as President and Martha as Treasurer.
We will have a Christmas luncheon the first Thursday of Dec. Text messages will notify everyone of the details. We would like to thank Allen and his crew for keeping the course so nice for us this year. We will continue our play for two weeks in Oct., as long as the weather permits. 9 a.m. will be the start time. Thanks to all that stayed and helped with the clean up last week.
Rosemarie Pickerill, Sec.
